Community Engagement Study to Improve Access to Essential Diagnosis
The CAADE study, in pilot phase, used a mixed method with quantitative and qualitative approaches, was set up by the Pasteur Institute in Dakar, in collaboration with the NGO Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND).
This study was carried out in the villages of Dielmo and Ndiop of the health district of Sokone. Its main objective was to facilitate access to diagnosis and improve the management of target communities for screening approaches undertaken by community health workers.
This study was carried out on several aspects:
- risk factors for cardiovascular disease,
- factors affecting the health of mother and child,
- infectious diseases of epidemiological significance
