Assessment Study of the Feasibility of Deployment of Rapid Diagnostic Tests for Arboviruses (Sokone and Kédougou- Senegal)
The Diag-Arbo study aims to assess the feasibility of using RDTs for the diagnosis of arbovirus diseases
(Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever).
It is managed in 2 regions (Kédougou and Fatick) at the level of 9 health structures.
The study runs from January 2021 to December 2021. Its objectives are:
- Assess the acceptability, demand, integration of RDTs for targeted arboviruses in the surveillance system and
the impact of the use of these tests in the management of populations with arboviruses, in particular women
pregnant - Detect the number of confirmed cases of arbovirus between January and December 2021, assess the distribution of cases in the
population and particularly among pregnant women - Evaluate the practical performance of monoplex and multiplex RDTs in community settings
