The African Health Observatory - Health Systems and Policy Platform (AHOP) is a regional partnership aimed at promoting evidence-based policy making by fostering transnational learning.

The platform is hosted by the WHO Regional Office for Africa (WHO AFRO) (link www.afro.who.int) which acts as the regional secretariat. The partnership builds on existing national and regional collaborations to form a network of national centers in the region.

The Senegal National Center joins a cohort of research institutions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Senegal.

The Senegal national center aims to:

• Turning research findings into action and advocating for evidence-based health policies
• Facilitate the exchange of knowledge to support the improvement of health systems
