Samples from hospitals and clinics or performed on site must respect strict sampling conditions (see sampling manual). The recent intake of an antibiotic treatment as well as a recent stay at a hospital must be mentioned on the request form to assist with interpretation. The identification of bacteria is systematically followed by a study of antibiotic sensitivity/resistance, which usually determined according to the bacterial genus. 

We are currently developing the research of certain bacterial agents by molecular biology (RT-PCR), particularly in the context of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
