The medical biology lab carries out classic hematology analyses such as blood count, quantification of reticulocytes, search for blood parasites by QBC (malaria, filaria, trypanosomes, but also borrelia). The laboratory also performs hemostasis exploration such as PT and INR, TCK, fibrinogen and D-Dimer. Additionally, the laboratory performs hemoglobinopathies diagnosis via the following testing: Emmel tests, hemoglobin electrophoresis, the determination of ABO rhesus blood group and Rh Kell phenotype and the search for irregular agglutinins.
