The search for antigens and/or antibodies specific to infectious diseases is carried out on different types of automats: Architect (Abbott), Vidas 3 (Biomérieux), ELISA chain. We also conduct manual testing for serology. To confirm the patient's serological status in relation to the infection, a second sample may be requested 2 to 3 weeks after the first one.

We perform the quantification of the hepatitis B viral load by RT-PCR, thus allowing an efficient follow-up for patients that are under treatment for the disease.
